The Rochester New York based Lees Motorsports consists of a NASCAR© Weekly Modified team, competing in the NASCAR© Whelen All American Series. Our driver, Matt Lees, has over 19 years of racing experience. He started racing at the age of 10 in the Microd division. By the age of 16, he was competing in the NASCAR© Grand American Modified Division. Through the years, Matt has proved his driving talent over and over. In 2006, his outstanding driving abilities caught the attention of 5 car owners who invited him to drive their cars. In 2007, Matt drove the entire season in the Cline Racing number 81 finishing 5th in the Spencer Speedway season points. Matt has a reputation of going fast, taking care of his equipment, and remaining calm, cool, and collected in the driver’s seat.
Matt "Bones" Lees will be back behind the wheel of his familiar #05 for the 2008 season! Lees Motorsports and Cline Racing are teaming up to field 2 cars; Matt in the #05 and Mark Cline in the #81. We are excited about racing in 2008 and hope to improve on our top 5 finish in the NASCAR© Weekly Modified division point standings at Spencer Speedway. Plans are to race at Oswego in the ROC again this year.
